Davies Turner completes accreditation

UK forwarder and haulier Davies Turner has attained Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status, just 18 months after sister company Davies Turner Air Cargo gained one of the first AEO-accreditations in the EU.

The accreditation means all the activities of the Davies Turner international freight and logistics group are now covered, including ocean, overland trailer, customs warehousing, supply chain management and project forwarding.

The AEO regime is a measure co-ordinated by the World Customs Organisation as part of a long term approach to facilitating trade while making supply chains more secure from origin to destination.

Philip Stephenson, chairman of Davies Turner, said: “AEO accreditation and close co-operation with our customers and overseas partners will confer increasingly practical benefits, and so enable us to gain a commercial advantage over our competitors.”
