Logistics comeback at ATC - International Freighting Weekly: "US-based ATC Technology Corporation saw revenue from logistics operations grow rapidly in the final quarter of 2009, but this did not prevent consolidated income contracting 8.6% to US$485m over the full year.
The consumer and service parts logistics specialist’s fourth-quarter logistics revenue increased 6.4% to $93.4m and profit climbed 15% to $17.6m.
Total revenue from logistics through the year reached $345.3m, 2.3% lower than a year earlier, but profit increased 13.9% to $64m as cost reductions bore fruit, said the company.
"Despite a challenging economic environment, we closed the year with some important wins for our business which have positioned us to continue our growth in 2010,” said Todd Peters, president and CEO.
“Our logistics business proved its resilience by again delivering solid growth with new programmes and successfully managing costs.
“Today, our new business pipeline has over $197m of annualised business opportunities.”
